We are a production company that specializes in breaking news and special events coverage; short and long format documentaries, as well as news magazines and talk show formats for television and the web.
Our team includes producers and media consultants who have lent their expertise to burgeoning satellite channels on issues such as brand programming and scheduling, new media integration and bringing international broadcast standards to in-house productions.
In 1998 Odile Isralson and Lina Matta produced the documentary Running for Bogota. The award-winning short screened at various national and international film festivals and was broadcast on several PBS stations. Encouraged by their expierience, they set up Brown Hats Productions.
Their second project, the feature-length documentary Prison Lullabies garnered awards on the festival circuit and was picked up for distribution by Seventh Art Releasing, Filmakers Library, TVF International and the Reentry National Media Outreach Campaign.
Excited by the potential of video on the net, they dove into that medium with their latest project, a literary internet talk show, Titlepage.tv hosted by former Random House Alum, Daniel Menaker, currently on hiatus.
